Event Guidelines

Effective Date: 10 August 2026

Our Mission

Salaamtix is dedicated to ethical event ticketing. We exist to provide a safe, respectful, and values-led environment in which communities of all backgrounds can gather. To maintain this "Safe Space," all Event Organisers must adhere to the following Community Guidelines.

We reserve the right to reject, suspend, or remove any event that violates the letter or the spirit of these values. Where we do so, we will act in accordance with Section 4.4 of our Terms and Conditions, and the Event Organiser may appeal the decision using the appeals process in Section 4.5 of our Terms and Conditions.

1. Illegal and Dangerous Activities

We have a zero-tolerance policy for events that promote illegal acts or physical danger.

  • Drugs and Illegal Substances: Events that promote, sell, or facilitate the use of illegal drugs or controlled substances are strictly prohibited.
  • Weapons and Explosives: Events focused on the sale, distribution, or unregulated use of firearms, explosives, or other weapons are banned.
  • Criminal Activity: Events that facilitate or organise criminal behaviour, including theft, fraud, human trafficking, or sexual exploitation, will be reported to law enforcement immediately.
  • Gambling: In alignment with both applicable local laws and the values of our platform, events promoting casinos, raffles (without a permit), or games of chance where money is wagered are prohibited.

2. Violence and Dangerous Organisations

We do not provide a platform for hate or violence.

  • Incitement to Violence: Content that threatens, incites, or glorifies violence against any individual or group is banned.
  • Self-Harm: Events that encourage, glorify, or provide instructions for self-harm are prohibited.
  • Terrorist and Proscribed Organisations: Events that support, promote, fundraise for, celebrate, or provide a platform for any organisation listed, proscribed, or designated as a terrorist or criminal organisation under applicable law are strictly prohibited and will be reported to the relevant authorities.

3. Community Harmony and Ideological Safety

We are a space for unity. We prohibit content that is hostile to the safety, dignity, or well-being of our users and the communities they belong to.

  • Divisive Political Agendas: We do not host events that promote political movements and ideologies that cause significant distress, alienation, or psychological harm to the communities we serve.
(Note for Organisers: This includes events supporting military occupations, displacement of populations, or regimes recognised as hostile to humanitarian values by respectable international authorities such as the United Nations.)
  • Hate Speech: We prohibit content that promotes hatred, violence, or discrimination against any and all protected categories of people.
  • Harassment and Bullying: Events intended to shame, humiliate, blackmail, or doxx individuals are prohibited.

4. Community Standards and Values

As a values-led platform, we require events to respect the fundamental values of our users and the standards on which our community is built.

  • Alcohol and Intoxicants: Events where the primary focus is the consumption of alcohol, or where alcohol is included in the ticket price or is mandatory, are prohibited.
  • Nightclubs: Events held at nightclubs are not permitted. These venues are not consistent with the inclusive and welcoming environment that Salaamtix aims to uphold for all of the communities we serve.
  • Adult Content and Nudity: We prohibit events featuring nudity, sexually explicit content, or "adults-only" entertainment. Event listings, images, and promotional content must be suitable for a general audience.
  • Disrespect of Religious Values: Events that mock, degrade, or intentionally disrespect the beliefs, scriptures, prophets, or figures of any religion are strictly prohibited.

5. Misinformation and Integrity

All communication and marketing must be truthful.

  • Fraudulent Events: Organisers must not mislead attendees regarding the nature of the event, the venue, or the celebrity or speaker appearances.
  • Misleading Fundraising: All fundraising events must be transparent. We reserve the right to request proof of charity registration and the final destination of funds.
  • Misinformation: All events must be accurate and avoid purposefully deceiving attendees. This includes but is not limited to the content of the event, the dietary or certification status of the food (for example halal, kosher, vegan, or allergen claims), any dress code or content standards advertised for the event, as well as other promises made within the event marketing or description.
